Focus on successful cooperation between Bad Nauheim city council and Office.Rent

How flexible office solutions are revolutionizing workplaces and working methods

Matthias Wieliki, responsible for Central Control, has welcomed four new employees in the past quarter. Due to increasing digitalization, there was a need for new workplaces. It cannot be denied that home office solutions are now a major feature of everyday office life. Attendance times in the office have been reduced, which in turn makes it necessary to restructure workstations. The city administration is now increasingly focusing on teamwork, which requires new concepts and adapted furniture.

Mr. Wieliki explained that the focus today is on more teamwork, which requires different room concepts. At the same time, ergonomic workstations are important to promote the health of employees. In view of these requirements, the department decided to take advantage of the Office.Rent offer, which enables flexible rental of office furniture.

This decision not only offers an economic advantage, as it prevents unused furniture from being purchased incorrectly, but also an ecological one: Over 70 percent of the furniture used is made from existing stock. This saves up to 70 percent of the emissions that would be generated by the production of new furniture, as Rent.Group CEO Christian Eichenberger explains.

In addition to the functional optimization of the workstations, care was taken to ensure that the employees felt comfortable. Personal wishes were taken into account in order to increase acceptance of the new working environment. "Employees should feel comfortable," emphasizes Wieliki, an important aspect especially in times of a shortage of skilled workers.

With this approach, the city administration of Bad Nauheim has set an example for other municipalities. The exchange with other departments and the growing interest of other municipalities underline the importance of this project as a possible model for public procurement in the future. The partnership between Office.Rent and the municipality shows how sustainable concepts and flexible solutions can contribute to the modern working world.
